Echo

It's like something from the past resonates in me.
A memory that never really happened.
A feeling without beginning or end.

Echo is about that kind of melancholy.
Not loud, not cutting. But sighing.
Like a sound that lingers, long after it's been said.

The head lies down, eyes closed, mouth heavy.
Everything is turned inward. As if the body remembers what the head has forgotten.
There is softness in the shape, but it weighs.

I made this head at a time when I didn't have to explain anything.
I just felt it. And it wanted to come out.
Echo is that residual feeling. That slow wave that keeps coming back.
